Fifa 12 Debut and Trailer

September 17, 2011

It’s getting to be that time of year. Every Fall, EA drops the newest version of FIFA soccer on us, and I frantically go out and buy it.

The graphics appear to be the same, but there are some new mechanics involved with the physics engines. Collisions are meant to be much more realistic, which from the looks of things, they are.

There was a huge difference between the physics in Fifa 10 and Fifa 11, so I’m curious to see how the players will interact with one another. The ball handling, the dribbling, shooting, were all different, so I imagine there is going to be a pretty big jump between the two.

The “Tactical Defending System” is a new method for players to be on defense. As if defending wasn’t hard enough, now you have new “techniques” to use while trying to strip someone of the ball. I usually have a hard enough time making sure my depth perception is correct.

Honestly, I’m really just looking forward to the roster updates. Fernando Torres needs to be on Chelsea when I play, and not just online. I wonder how USA will rank. I think Landon Donovan is on the cover.

Nerds abound are already starting to hate on the game. I knew my friends weren’t big fans when it first came out, but that’s because you have to adapt.

The game is set to drop September 27th, 2011. Trailer time!
